THREE PEAKS RACE 40th ANNIVERSARY 2017

The adventures of late Barmouth resident, the legendary explorer, sailor and mountaineer Bill Tilman (1898-1977) gave Doctor Rob Haworth the idea for the Three Peaks Race. 2017 marks the 40th anniversary of this, the original Three Peaks Race (there are others in Australia, Hong Kong and elsewhere). Over the years many thousands of pounds have been raised for a variety of causes including charities for young people and for medical research. Thanks to the organisers and sponsors of the race, and to all who support the event, and to all teams, Best of luck!
