are now open in the old WOOLWORTHS
store on the High Street, selling clothing, household and electrical
goods at discounted prices. Reminds me of Woolworths but with more
clothes and no pick'n'mix. Welcome to Barmouth!
BIRMINGHAM GARAGE
is more than a filling station. Bikes may be bought or hired: it
may be easier to hire a bike than to transport one. Cycle spares
are available, as are motor and boating spares, just 25 metres from
the harbour on the A496 Dolgellau Road.
LT LEISURE King
Edward Street, is now Dai Leisure, but is still packed full of "Big Boys Toys", Mountain bikes and
boards, BMX, skates, mini motos, go-peds, remote controlled model
cars, boats, planes, air guns, metal detectors, kites, paintball,
archery and more. Contact number is still 01341 281402
Barmouth has a Garden Centre at
LL DIY
and Homecentre, selling plants and shrubs, sheds, tools, water features
etc.
During the winter months ask at the adjoining LL DIY and Homecentre,
for garden products.
For late shopping we have the Coop Superstore (near the railway
station) open till 10pm weekdays, and SPAR in King Edward street open
till 11pm.
Talybont Village Shop
is open every day for groceries, newspapers, wines and spirits, but no
longer for full Post Office services though stamps, letter and parcel weighing are available.
